The ballast failed on one of my remaining fluorescent fixtures so I decided to replace with led's and get rid of the ballast. The same 5000k tubes were not available in a 4 pack at a decent price so I decided to go with the 4000k tubes. They are plenty bright enough and as they are in different parts of the basement you don't notice any difference.
